Meet The Team

Ms.Sherry
Founder / Director
Ms. Sherry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from China and has lived a life of exploration across three countries. After moving to the United States, she discovered her passion for early childhood education and became a certified AMS 3–6 Montessori educator and Positive Discipline educator. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education Entrepreneurship at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on innovative approaches to education.
An active community volunteer, Ms. Sherry participates in the OCAEYC Peer Guide project. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys culinary adventures and exploring the outdoors, embracing life with curiosity and warmth.

Ms.Layla
Co - Founder / Lead Teacher (Mandarin)
Ms.Layla is originally from China. After graduated from Hangzhou Normal University, she came to the US for her Master program in Early Childhood Education at University of Pittsburgh. She found her love of the Montessori Method during a study abroad trip in Italy. She took AMI training in 2020 from Montessori Institute of San Diego, and now, she's a certified AMI primary teacher. During her free time, she is a foodie, a DIY lover and two cats' mom :)

Ms.Maggie
Mandarin Teacher
Ms. Maggie grew up in Wuhan China. She has always been an educator, and she has always been a learner. After graduating from a normal university, she worked in public schools in China for twenty years, dedicating herself to curriculum development and innovation. She also holds the qualification of Senior Primary School Teacher and Education Specialist in China. After moving to the United States, she continued her studies in education, gaining deeper insights and inspiration from the field. In 2020, she completed her AMS certification at the Montessori Institute of Santa Monica and in 2023, she was awarded a early child teacher permit by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Outside of school, Ms. Maggie loves cooking, swing dancing and spending cozy weekends with her families.

Ms.Heidi
English Teacher
Ms. Heidi is originally from the United States and brings a warm, engaging presence to her role at ChongHwa Montessori. In addition to her work at the school, she also teaches at her local church, where she continues to support and inspire young learners. Passionate about hands-on and outdoor activities, Ms. Heidi enjoys creating meaningful learning experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, and confidence in her students. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys cooking, baking, and crocheting, always finding joy in creativity and care.

Ms.Valeria
English Teacher
Ms. Val is passionate about fostering independence, creativity, and curiosity in young learners through the Montessori approach. With a background in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Fullerton, she believes in creating a nurturing environment where each child can explore at their own pace and develop a lifelong love of learning. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Val enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting local coffee shops, and sharing quality time with family and friends.
